Here are some important skills to have when working with clients:

    • Patience: It is very important to maintain a balanced cool and not to get frustrated. Showing that you have patience will make the client feel comfortable when talking to you.
    • Attentiveness: One of the main points in providing great client service is being attentive. Showing that you are listening to their needs will help the client build a great business relationship with you.
    • Clear communication: Make sure you are able to handle problems quickly and communicate well with a client. EXAMPLE: A client needs questions answered on extra charges being charged on his account. By communicating with the client, fixing the issue, and apologizing for the mistake, it helps build a sense of security with the clients.
    • Knowing your company and services: In order to gain business, it is important that you know about your company and services. Informing clients or potential clients on what your company is about and the services you provide will bring clients in and keep reoccurring clients coming back for your services.
    • Use positive language: Using “appropriate business” language is important when working with high-end clients or any type of clients in general. Changing the tone of your voice and using professional language will create happier clients.
    • Closing ability: “Closing” with a client means being able to end the conversation with confirmed satisfaction. You should always remember to ask yourself the following questions:
    • 1) Do I understand the client’s needs?
    • 2) Is my information accurate?
    • 3) Did I implement great client service?
    • 4) Have I fulfilled their needs?

Remember, your business is what you make of it!! Implementing great client service will ensure successful business for potential clients, reoccurring clients, and you!
